Dr. Janice Medunic
Optometrist
Dr. Medunic received both her Doctor of Optometry and Honours Bachelor of Science degrees from the University of Waterloo in 2004, graduating on the Dean’s Honour List. She currently lives in Oakville with her husband and two children.
Dr. Medunic is an active member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and also acts as a clinical assessor for the Canadian Examiners in Optometry.
Her goal while practicing optometry is to provide the highest standard of care while staying current with the latest research, information and technology in the field. Dr. Medunic is certified in the diagnosis and management of ocular disease and has a special interest in the treatment and management of dry eye disease and myopia control.
Dr. Medunic loves all that Oakville and its surrounding area has to offer. She enjoys canoeing, golfing, taking her dog for long walks by the lake and going for hikes with her family. She finds herself very fortunate to be able to practice and live in such a wonderful community.
Dr. Navjot Khela
Optometrist
Dr. Navjot Khela received her Honours Bachelor's of Science Degree at McMaster University and then went on to complete her Doctor of Optometry at the New England College of Optometry; Boston, MA.
Dr. Khela went to Maryland for her externship where she was exposed to acute eye emergencies, glaucoma, macular degeneration and diabetic retinopathy. She also co-managed post-cataract and post-refractive surgeries with ophthalmologists. Her rotation at the New England College of Optometry taught her how to manage myopia and fit specialty contact lenses.
Dr. Khela also practices in Brampton where she treats and manages dry eye disease, glaucoma and myopia. She is an active member of the Ontario Association of Optometrists and enjoys practicing full scope optometry with a keen interest in dry eyes, myopia control and specialty contact lenses. When not at the office, Dr. Khela enjoys traveling, reading and spending time with her family and friends.
Our Team
Lydia
Technical Lead and Optometric Assistant
Lydia has been with us since 2013 warmly greeting patients with a friendly smile. She has enjoyed getting to know our patients and the community we serve. Lydia completed the Canadian Certified Ophthalmic Assistant Program in 2020 to advance her skills and broaden her knowledge.
She participates in many aspects of the office including front desk, pre-testing, contact lens education, eyeglass adjustments and dispensing.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time up north with her family.
Aisha
Ocular Hygienst and Optometric Assistant
Aisha graduated with certifications and a diploma in health studies and healthcare management. After her studies, she developed these skills in a variety of healthcare settings.
She enjoys working alongside healthcare professionals who inspire her to keep growing within the industry. Aisha’s hobbies include travelling, spending time friends, and taking on new adventures.
Lindsey
Office Manager and Optometric Assistant
Lindsey has brought her over 20 years of managerial skills and artistic vision as a makeup artist to our wonderful team! She loves learning about different aspects of the optometry world, and especially loves working with patients learning to use specialty therapeutic lenses.
Our lovely patients make it easy to work with them and it is always her pleasure to give them the best experience possible when they visit our clinic. She absolutely loves helping patients choose new glasses and watching them appreciate their new eyewear.
In her free time Lindsey loves to travel and spend time with her family and friends.
Taylor
Patient Care Assistant
Taylor is currently finishing her undergraduate degree in psychology, neuroscience and behaviour at McMaster University and is extremely interested in pursuing a future career in optometry.
She hopes to use the experience of working at our clinic to gain further knowledge on the field of optometry and one day become an optometrist herself.
Outside of work, she enjoys being active and spending time with friends and family.
